This soft triple-cream cheese with a bloomy rind melts in your mouth and has a wonderful taste of hazelnut, mushroom, and a hint of butter. Riopelle is named after the famous Canadian painter Jean-Paul Riopelle.
Sold in approximately 150 g or 200 g wedges. (Note: product photos are not intended to depict any particular size wedge.)
I ordered the 200g Riopelle cheese from Tom Shop, and while I was very impressed with the flavor—rich, creamy, and deliciously smooth—I was a little disappointed that it arrived quite warm and almost melted. Thankfully, after refrigerating it, the texture held up well and the taste was still outstanding. Packaging and delivery could be improved for temperature-sensitive products, but overall, the cheese itself was excellent. I would still order again, hoping for better temperature control next time.
