Love the subscription, the cheese is really good and different from what you can find in the market. They always add some cookies or spreads to the box and they always amaze us, will definitely renew it!!
As always, the cheese selection was amazing. I was a bit disappointed however with the add-on. My family is gluten free (Celiac). I was given the option of pasta (penne or spaghetti) as the add on. I politely asked if there were any gluten free options, and I was told no. Nothing additional was offered in its place. For a $90 monthly subscription, I had a hard time justifying this for a regular monthly purchase, especially if the add on couldn’t be accommodated for unique circumstances.
It is so fun to receive the email that the new monthly box is ready for pickup. The cards that describe each cheese are so informative and really contribute to the experience of trying each cheese. The subscription is a great experience! (And the pick up is always fun)
My brother and I purchased this for our father's 85th birthday. He is a cheese connoisseur (even taught a class on cheese & wine in France for the U of G Paris semester). It's hard to know what to buy for someone who doesn't need or want much, and this was PERFECT. He is delighted with the gift and is looking forward to more. One of the three cheeses in his first delivery was a Cantal, which we were introduced to when we lived in France in 1985. He said it's as good as he remembers.
