Canada has banned many unpasteurized cow and buffalo milk cheeses from Switzerland, France, Spain, Greece & Italy, due to a cattle-disease outbreak.
This affects the availability of favourites including Brie de Meaux, Morbier, Tomme de Savoie, Vacherin Mont d'Or, and Tête de Moine.
We'll bring back these cheeses the moment we can, but the restrictions are expected to last many months.
Named after the great grandfather of its producers, Alfred Le Fermier is an organic, raw-milk cheese with a supple texture and deliciously complex notes of fruit, caramel, and honey. Its sunset yellow rind has a pleasant woody aroma.
Sold in 200 g or 300 g wedges. (Note: product photos are not intended to depict any particular size wedge.)
