Canada has banned many unpasteurized cow and buffalo milk cheeses from Switzerland, France, Spain, Greece & Italy, due to a cattle-disease outbreak.
This affects the availability of favourites including Brie de Meaux, Morbier, Tomme de Savoie, Vacherin Mont d'Or, and Tête de Moine.
We'll bring back these cheeses the moment we can, but the restrictions are expected to last many months.
Just as with wine, Isigny's terroir (unique ecological characteristics that influence the flavours of the milk) gives Beurre d'Isigny a flavour that cannot be duplicated. No other butter is the same.
You'll experience delicious flavours of sweet cream balanced with subtle hazelnut notes and a slight tang. It also happens to be wonderfully rich and spreadable.
This cultured French butter with a luxurious 80% butterfat content is perfect for spreading on fresh bread, baking into your favourite treats, and serving at the table.
Wooden baskets (Salted/Unsalted) - 250 g.
Bar/Baratte (Cultured Butter with Sea Salt Crystals) - 250 g.
You can’t beat French butter and this particular brand is delicious! I gift it as a hostess gift…sometimes with a dozen fresh baked scones or Montreal bagels:) Always appreciated!!
Placed an order. Communication and delivery on point and of course delicious butter!!
Love the taste and it brings me so many memories when I was in France. Merci beaucoup !
I've known of Beurre d'Isigny as the incomparable standard to which all other butters are measured. For good reason. European butters have a higher butterfat content which lifts all foods to excellence, whether it be a Jambon Beurre or the foundation to a flaky croissant. To serve it with freshly baked bread is heaven. Everyone should try it at least once in their lives.
We could not stop eating it !!!!!
